All the video clips here at PokerTube are from poker games where they play Texas Hold ‘em no limit. Texas Hold ‘em no limit is an old poker game that have become the most popular form of poker in the casinos and online. One reason for that is that you can learn the rules of Texas Hold ‘em no limit in a couple of minutes. To learn the game usually takes a lot more time, some say a lifetime.

Another reason for the popularity of the game is television. Texas Hold ‘em live tournaments had been televised, mainly in the US, since the late 1970′s. The popularity grew in 1999 when hidden lipstick cameras were first used to show players’ private hole cards onTV shows in the United Kingdom. The hidden lipstick cameras were introduced in the United States and Canada in early 2003 when the World Poker Tour used them.

When ESPN covered the 2003 World Series of Poker the unexpected victory of Internet player Chris Moneymaker initiated a sudden surge of interest in Poker.

Today there are vide variety of televised poker games but the one thing they almost always have in common is that they play Texas Hold ‘em no limit.

At Pokertube I have collected a couple of the most classic poker hands that have been played on tv. These poker clips includes famous poker players like Daniel Negreanu, Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey. Feel free to leave a comment of any of the poker clips.
